On the basis of the handbook regarding the Attachment V according to the definition of magnesia, active
magnesium oxide we offer is exempt from the registration obligation.
Magnesia (MgO, magnesium oxide) seldom occurs as a natural mineral (also known as periclase). it is most
often produced from naturally occurring magnesite (MgCo3), sea water and natural or synthetic brines. The
exemption from the registration obligation covers several forms of magnesia, including burnt, calcined, sintered
and melted magnesia.
